Benoit Huet is registered at the Paris Bar since 2011. His practice focuses on civil and commercial law, corporate law, and media law.
He co-founded Avrillon Huet in 2017 after working for 6 years in a boutique law firm founded by the prominent lawyer Jean-Pierre Mignard, where he started as an associate and then became a partner.
Benoit Huet regularly assists companies, non-profit, and individuals in civil and commercial litigations and in corporate matters (corporate governance and financing, shareholder agreements and disputes, company acquisitions).
He has been teaching corporate law for several years in French and in English to the students of the Master of Science of Management at ESSEC Business school, both on the Paris and Singapore campuses.
Benoit Huet has also developed a strong expertise of civil and criminal press law cases. He advices various medias, writers, and journalists, and regularly publishes articles on legal issues related to media governance and freedom of expression.
He is a member of the legal committee of Reporters Without Borders and is the author of a book titled “Information is a public good” (Editions du Seuil, co-written with Julia Cagé, February 2021).
